Chris Caggs - Australian Radio Broadcaster, Podcast Host & Dance Music Personality Chris Caggs is an Australian radio broadcaster, podcast host, music programmer and producer with more than 30 years of experience across community, FM, online and syndicated radio. Best known as the creator and host of ShakeDown Radio , Chris has built a reputation as one of Australia's most dedicated independent broadcasters, promoting EDM, House, Dance, Hip Hop and R&B music to audiences around the world. Throughout his career, Chris has presented programmes on more than 20 radio stations and has reached listeners in over 70 countries through radio syndication, online broadcasting and podcasting. His passion for music discovery and artist promotion has helped him establish strong relationships with record labels, publicists, DJs and independent artists both in Australia and internationally. Chris began his broadcasting journey in Sydney community radio, where he developed his announcing and production skills. At 2RDJ-FM 88.1 Sydney , he hosted Thursday Flavours, a Hip Hop and R&B programme dedicated to showcasing both established and emerging artists. He also presented programmes on Northside Radio 99.3FM (2NSB) , becoming a familiar voice within Sydney's community broadcasting sector. A significant milestone in Chris's career came when he joined Pump FM 99.3FM Sydney North Shore , Australia's pioneering Hip Hop & R&B radio station. Co-hosting alongside Mista C, Chris helped introduce listeners to urban music during a period when Hip Hop and R&B received limited mainstream radio exposure. The station played an important role in Australia's urban music movement and helped establish Chris as a respected presenter within the genre. Chris later joined DJ-FM 87.6FM Dance Radio Sydney CBD & Inner Suburbs , where he hosted a weekday four-hour dance music programme featuring club hits, electronic music and new releases. One of the most recognised periods of Chris's broadcasting career came through his involvement with the Groove FM network. He hosted Breakfast and Weekend Morning programmes on Groove FM 96.9FM & 94.5FM Sydney , before later presenting Breakfast on Groove FM 97.3FM Brisbane . These roles expanded his audience reach and further established his reputation as a versatile broadcaster capable of connecting with listeners across multiple markets.
