Chris Caggs, aged 49, is an Australian radio DJ, music programmer, podcaster, and broadcaster with nearly 30 years of experience in the Australian radio industry. Throughout his career, Chris has broadcast across 16 radio stations as a permanent presenter and has been heard on over 200 stations through Australia’s Community Radio Network (ComRad).

Chris’s broadcasting journey began in the mid-1990s, building a reputation for delivering quality Hip Hop, R&B, Dance, House, and EDM programming. His passion for music has seen him work alongside some of Australia’s most respected media professionals.

In July 1998, Chris secured his first permanent radio show with co-host Mista-C on Sydney’s Hip Hop and R&B station, Pump FM 99.3FM. The station later evolved into Dance Radio 99.3FM before relaunching as Dance FM 94.5FM in August 2000.

Later in 1998, Chris joined DJ-FM 87.6FM, a full-time dance music station broadcasting across Sydney’s CBD and inner suburbs. Owned by Robert Iezzi, the station featured Frank Chimenti, Antonio Avati, Joe Avati, Susie Stapleton, Daniel Einfeld, Andre Waitsman, Joe Corte, and Rob Brizzi. Key sponsors included Telstra, Central Station Records, CUB, Noizenet, Pulse Music, and SBA Music.

Between October 1999 and January 2001, Chris contributed on-air and in programming at Groove FM Sydney. Working with Darren Leigh, Mike Scott, and Fabrizio Vilardo, he hosted breakfast and weekend shows while interviewing figures like Osher Günsberg, Bessie Bardot, Rene Rivkin, DJ Nino Brown, Georgina Reed, Sam Boutros, Natasha Zuvela, Yvette Duncan, and Zoe Naylor.

In 2000, Chris joined Groove FM 97.3FM Brisbane at launch, hosting breakfast while assisting with music programming alongside Fez Lateef, Adrian Day, Patrick Donohue, Scott Ferris, DJ Kina, and Kristian Hernandez.

From 1996 to 2006, Chris presented Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, and Dance on Sydney stations 2RDJ-FM and Northside Radio. Between 2001 and 2003 he hosted Thursday Flavours and filled in on Soulscope with Georgina Reed.

Today, Chris continues to contribute to Australian radio through syndicated programming, podcasting, and specialist music shows, reaching national and international audiences.
